Testimonials

In 2018/2019 I was fortunate to work with Marco presenting poetry performances and writing workshops in local Primary Schools. His work with the children was excellent, gaining their interest and enthusiasm immediately. He gave them great opportunities to interact, dress up and take part in the poetry presentation. Even in brief writing workshops, the students, of varied ages, were able to produce insightful and descriptive results. Staff really enjoyed Marco, all requesting repeat performances at the next opportunity.

Diane Burrell -(Former primary teacher and current co-ordinator of Poetry Workshops for The Banjo Paterson Poetry Festival in Orange NSW)

The Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival is held in Orange each year. In 2019 we had the pleasure of Marco Gliori as the featured poet of the Festival. Marco is a consummate professional, able to move effortlessly from performance to compere/MC and back again. Importantly he has a wide-ranging repertoire that he can adapt to a wide variety of audiences, so he is always able to connect and engage, whether at the Poets Brawl (an exciting variation on Poetry in the Pub) or entertaining the large and appreciative audience at the Banjo Paterson Festival Poets Dinner under the stars in Molong. We have no hesitation in recommending him.

For 20 + years Marco Gliori has been part of Tenterfield Oracles of the Bush Marco’s genuine love of bush poetry explodes into the most amazing on-stage performances.  Such is his talent he can silence a crowd of 500 with a heartfelt poem and have them falling off their chairs with laughter a few minutes later.  100% talent, professionalism and management!

I spent the first part of the show watching some of the "hard heads" in the room. They were in stitches. Now I could relax and enjoy a fantastic showman and bush poet. I woke up on Thursday morning with sore sides (from laughing) and sore shoulders derived from pats on the back from people saying how refreshingly funny and entertaining you were. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone running a conference, a sporting function, or simply as an after dinner speaker.
