School Visits
Marco has been performing for and educating school students since touring with the Queensland Arts Council in 1991. Marco's services are offered to both primary and secondary schools and include performances, writing workshops and writer-in-residence programs. Due to Marco's expertise as a performance poet, his writing workshops are a mix of writing and performing, offering the unique experience for children to see their original ideas and raw stories evolve into a finished poem that could be performed with and in front of their classmates. Marco's belief is that a poem is only half alive in a book but comes to life when it is shared with others in performance.
Marco has been a featured author at Somerset Literary Festival, Voices on The Range, Voices on the Coast, Whitsunday Voices and the Ipswich Poetry Feast. Marco has had materials published in Education manuals and curriculum books and is a regular feature at education conferences as a presenter.

Corporate Services
Marco has presented professional entertainment services to businesses all over Australia. His past engagements have included hosting and entertaining at prestigious ceremonies such as the Queensland Meat Industry Awards and the State Landcare Awards, as well as being commissioned to write poetry for major events such as Australia's Federation Celebrations. Marco's unique ability to highlight and celebrate the characters in attendance, whilst weaving his poetry throughout the night, is the reason for his popularity. His sense of community is infectious, and his personality warm and engaging.
Marco’s contribution to a conference can take many forms. It may be at a conference breakfast, where his lighthearted renditions will set the mood for the rest of the day, compering a day of presentations, or providing a full evening show for attendees. Marco has something special to say and an atmosphere to offer that every conference attendee will find refreshing and authentic. Marco is also available to write commissioned poems for special events and anniversaries for companies and businesses.

In 2018/2019 I was fortunate to work with Marco presenting poetry performances and writing workshops in local Primary Schools. His work with the children was excellent, gaining their interest and enthusiasm immediately. He gave them great opportunities to interact, dress up and take part in the poetry presentation. Even in brief writing workshops, the students, of varied ages, were able to produce insightful and descriptive results. The Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival is held in Orange each year. In 2019 we had the pleasure of Marco Gliori as the featured poet of the Festival. Marco is a consummate professional, able to move effortlessly from performance to compere/MC and back again. Importantly he has a wide-ranging repertoire that he can adapt to a wide variety of audiences, so he is always able to connect and engage, whether at the Poets Brawl (an exciting variation on Poetry in the Pub) or entertaining the large and appreciative audience at the Banjo Paterson Festival Poets Dinner under the stars in Molong. We have no hesitation in recommending him.
