Irreverent and comical look at a family Christmas Day celebration. They try hard, eat and drink a little too much and make mistakes. Marco fits right in here. He also loves a day at the Race Track which becomes rather obvious. Not recommended for younger children.
The North Gregory Hotel Winton is a great pub, but stupid me left the doors open at the Outback Festival all night and woke up scratching. I wrote this poem for the Breakfast Show that day.
Marco served almost a decade in the Queensland Police Force, attaining the rank of Detective Senior Constable before leaving. He was a naïve country lad, and begins this performance with a brief story of how he became a copper. Marco then performs 'Pay Day' a serious true crime story/poem in memory of a murder victim Earnest Norton Barnard 87 years of age, murdered in Innisfail, North Queensland.
